Terms of Service

Omni by Canvs: Terms of Service Effective date: [12 Oct '26]

1. Who we are and what this is. Omni by Canvs ("Omni", "we", "us") is a design-system toolkit at omni.canvs.in, operated by Canvs Creative Solutions Private Limited, D-0714, Maple Leaf Co op Hsg Soc Ltd, Building No-15, Tungwa Village, Powai, Mumbai, Maharashtra 400072, India ("Canvs"). These Terms are an agreement between you and Canvs. By creating an account or using Omni you accept them. If you use Omni for an organisation (for example your employer or a client), you confirm you have authority to accept these Terms for it, and "you" then includes the organisation. If your organisation has signed a separate agreement with us, that agreement prevails where it differs.

2. Your Canvs account. You need a Canvs account to use Omni; the same account works across Canvs products. You must be at least 18 years old. Give accurate information, keep your sign-in details secure, and tell us promptly at support@canvs.in if you think your account was used without your permission. You are responsible for activity under your account. How we handle personal data is explained in the Omni Privacy Policy at canvs.in/omni-privacy.

3. The service. Omni lets you build colour, type, grid, spacing and elevation systems, save them as projects, share them, and export them as CSS, Tailwind, design tokens, a DESIGN.md file and Figma variables and styles (through a script, and later a plugin). Omni is free at the moment. We may change, add or remove features, and we may introduce paid plans with reasonable notice. We do not promise that Omni is always available or error-free.

4. Your content. "Your content" means your projects and everything in them (names, descriptions, colours, type settings, logos, member lists) and anything else you submit.

  • You own your content. We do not claim ownership.

  • You give us a limited licence to host, store, process, display and transmit your content only to run Omni for you and the people you choose to share it with, including making the backups and exports you ask for. The licence ends when you delete the content, apart from backups, which expire within 90 days.

  • Sharing. A project is private unless you share it. "Public" means anyone with the link can view it. Public projects are not listed or searchable. Shared projects are visible to the people you add, at the role you give them. Think before you make anything public or add someone.

  • Exports are yours. We claim no rights in files you export.

  • You are responsible for your content and for having the rights to it (including fonts, images and logos you upload).

5. Inviting other people. When you add someone to a project, we send them an email on your behalf that includes your name and the project name. Only invite people you know and who would reasonably expect it. Do not use invitations to send spam, advertising, or misleading or abusive text. We may limit how many invitations you can send, and we may stop sending them.

6. Acceptable use. You agree to follow our Acceptable Use Policy (canvs.in/omni-acceptable-use), which forms part of these Terms.

7. Third-party sites and services. Some features rely on others: for example, capturing a screenshot of a web address you give us, or signing in with Google. You must have the right to capture and use any page you ask us to capture, and you are responsible for how you use what comes back. Third-party services have their own terms, and we are not responsible for them.

8. Our rights. Omni, its software, design and branding belong to Canvs and our licensors. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Omni under these Terms. You may not copy, resell, reverse engineer or build a competing service from Omni, or bypass its limits or protections, except where the law allows. If you send us feedback, we may use it without obligation to you.

9. The Figma plugin. The plugin is part of Omni and these Terms apply to it. It connects to your Omni account through a short-lived pairing code and acts only on the Figma file you open it in. It may be available only to selected users until it is published.

10. Suspension and ending. You can stop using Omni and ask us to delete your account at any time (see the Data requests page). We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms, create risk or legal exposure for others or us, or if we are required to by law, usually with notice where we can give it. After ending, the sections that by their nature should survive (ownership, disclaimers, liability, governing law) do.

11. Disclaimers. Omni is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we do not give any warranty that Omni will meet your needs, be uninterrupted or error-free, or that exported files or generated values (including colour contrast results) are suitable for any particular purpose, such as legal accessibility compliance. You are responsible for checking what you ship.

12. Limitation of liability. To the extent the law allows, Canvs is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to Omni is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and INR 5,000. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

13. Indemnity. You will cover reasonable losses we incur from a third-party claim that arises from your content or your breach of these Terms, to the extent the law allows.

14. Changes. We may update these Terms. If a change is material we will tell you by email or in Omni before it takes effect. If you keep using Omni after the date it takes effect, you accept the update; if you do not agree, you can stop and delete your account.

15. Governing law. These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at Mumbai have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer law gives you the right to go elsewhere.

16. Contact. support@canvs.in. Grievances: see Legal notice (canvs.in/legal).
